Below is a summary of the programs presented each Monday.

Jan. 06 -- President Valerie - photos of the Rose Bowl Parade, and the Optimist International Float, “Sweet Dreams”. 
Jan. 13 -- Tina Norris of the Boone Hospital Center, is the Manager of Volunteer Services. She talked about the work of volunteers at the hospital.
Jan. 20 -- Rojee [pronounced “Row-Z”] Kattel, a Humphrey Fellow from Nepal.  Rojee gave an overview of the political scene in Nepal.  
Jan. 27--New members inducted: Susan Clark & Tim Elliott.
Feb. 03--
Leigh Nutter introduced former Mayor, Mary Anne McCollum, and the two spoke about the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Restoration Project.  
Feb. 10 -- Leigh Nutter introduced Retired and Senior Volunteer Program Director, Brenda Lee. R.S.V.P. is sponsored by Boone County Council on Aging and recruits, interviews and trains volunteers for different organizations in the community.
Feb. 17-- Chris Coffman of the Columbia/Boone County Health Department offered interesting information about the National Pharmaceutical Stockpile program.

eb. 24 -- Danny Grant, Sgt with the Columbia Police Dept., Community Services Unit, -- the latest on safety inspections and an update of the Columbia Police Dept, The Citizens Academy and our national concerns of terrorism and what we can do to help.
Mar. 03 --
Oratorical contest Winners Brian Hudspeth introduced the winners: Rachel Mann, Jasmine Cuppy, Taylor Harper & Brady Still. Brady placed first in the Boys' Contest.  
Mar. 10 -- Our Club hosted a NOW meeting for prospective members.
Mar. 17 -- Dr. Maria Katsaros presented a demonstration of "Hands on Health."
Mar. 24 -- Musical selections by the Banana Oil Pan Band. Caribbean & other styles of Pan [steel drum] music for all occasions! Contact Gary Froeschner [573] 875-0210 or email: gfroesch@tranquility.net
Mar. 31 -- The Club inducted 4 new members: Kelly Buxton, Brenda Lee, Greg Schneider & Sid Sullivan.
Apr. 7 --
Michael Bollinger, Director of the Lyceum Theatre in Arrow Rock, MO, gave an overview of this season's performances.

Apr. 14 --
Valerie Fick
presented the plaques and medals to our Essay Contest winners, Meghan Concannon, first place and  Charlene Kaiser, third place. Second place went to Jolyn Sattizahn, who was not present. The topic: “When our freedom is threatened.” Meghan read her essay.
Apr. 21 --  Lynn Kelley and Cheryl Williamson gave a report on the Relay for Life, the American Cancer Society's major fund-raiser.
Apr. 28 -- Chris Gervino, KMIZ Sports Director, gave an overview of the Columbia sports scene, from high school through all the colleges in town.
May 5 - DOC presented it "Respect for Law" award to Detective Maurice Tapp, of the Columbia Police Dept.
May 12 - Officer John Warner, Columbia Police Department, presented the latest developments in the DARE Program.
May 19 - Police Chief Randy Boehm.
June 9 -
Colonel Dick Rice – presented a reflection on the efforts of the American Revolution, with relevance for today!
June 16 - .   Amy Pavlovich, Associate Pastor, of First Christian Church, with Ellie Miller and Tom Yonker, gave a PowerPoint presentation of their trip to Aguascalientes, Mexico. 14 MU students helped build a youth center there. The room they helped build is called the “Columbia Room”, to honor their work. 
June 23 - Brenda Overkamp
of Advent Enterprises, a private non-profit employment center working with dislocated workers, people with disabilities or economic disadvantages, those who are unemployed or underemployed and youth, 15 –21 years old. 
June 30 - Induction of new members: Jessica Boyer, hosted by Steve Hudson; Scott Stager, hosted by Steve Winters; Doug Tarwater hosted by Valerie Goodin and Christine White, hosted by Red Leighton. Welcome to our newest members!

July 21 - Amy Toomsen gave an update on the Heart of Missouri Girl Scout Council. 
July 28 - Mid-Missouri Basketball Club – Mark Holly
August 4 - Peggy Kirkpatrick, Director of the Central Missouri Food Bank, gave an overview of the Bank's work in Mid-Missouri.

August 25 - Pat Daly

September 8 - Karen Grindler and the Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center, & an introduction to the KOEZE Nut sales season.
September 15 - Dr. Les Reschley, Exotic Animal Diseases.
September 22 - Induction of new members: James Henderson, Harold Warren, Scott Smith and Meredith Donaldson.

October 6 - Dr. Saba Jalali - eye health care.
October 13 - Boone County Sewer District Bond Issue, November election - Dan Ratermann & Dick Otto
October 20 - Bill Lloyd gave a presentation about the Rainbow House in Columbia, a temporary residence for children of abuse.
