Mary Douglass and her mother, Betty Ratchford have a longstanding history with the Columbia Community. Betty's husband, C. Brice Ratchford was President of the University of Missouri in the 1970's. Mary grew up in Columbia and traveled extensively, due to her father's position.

Since Dr. Ratchford's death, Betty has remained in the family home in town. Mary has opened
Tallywhoa Bed & Breakfast at her home, just west of town. She lives there with her son, Will, 2 horses, 2 dogs and 3 cats, who found her!

Betty likes to travel, meet new people, cook, garden and enjoy Callie, her cat!
William  likes to travel, host guests at the B&B, basketball, bike riding, electronic games and gardening.
