: Jack Cruise – The free lunch was given to Red Leighton for his hard work in regards to the Optimist Golf Tournament. Jack Cruise gave great appreciation to all those who volunteered.

TAIL TWISTER: Steve and Jim Yankee reminded us all of the Lobster dinner this Wednesday at 6pm at the clubhouse.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
**June 27th 2007 the club will have a dinner at the clubhouse. $10 per person for shrimp or $20 per person for a 10-12 ounce lobster tail, both entrées will include baked potato, salad, drink and dessert. Chef Steve Henderson challenges anyone to find the same meal anywhere in town for less than $50 and he will buy it for you!!

**The Communications Department is seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates to compile this bulletin each week. It is simple, easy, rewarding and fun! Just go to lunch, fill out the form type it up and email it to Val and Jim Yankee. Think you can handle it? Contact Mike Hatchett for more info: m_hatchett@yahoo.com 

**The dates for the Optimist Club to present medals to the winning soccer teams in each competition bracket will be Sunday, July 22 and Sunday, July 29. We usually get 35 - 40 volunteers, from the club plus several of my friends and family members. I will be getting volunteers signed up in the very near future and getting volunteer registration forms signed. We usually get a list turned in to the SMSG office early in June, so we can get the correct number and sizes for t - shirts. Volunteers who helped in previous years recently received volunteer registration forms in the mail. Please ask them to fill out the form, showing name, address, shirt size, etc. Then bring them to the club meeting or send them to me. **Dottie is looking for an Optimist member to purchase the home next door!
**Dues to be raised to $70 after voting on July 16 (If approved)
**Carl Scott announced new policies on using the clubhouse. Please complete the “Clubhouse Use Form” prior. Form to be released on August 1st.

MYSTERY GUEST:
Bill Drummond awarded next week’s free lunch to Steve Henderson. No one was sure why.

TAIL TWISTER: Steve reminded everyone of the upcoming seafood night the 27th of this month. 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Relay for life is this Friday the 8th at 6pm at the Boone County Fairgrounds. The club is a sponsor for this event so it would be especially nice if we had a bunch of members participate. Please see Carl Scott for more info.

This Thursday night the 7th is Food Bank Volunteer Night. Please arrive by 6pm 

The Soap Box Derby will be held June 10th and they are in need of volunteers. If you can help out, it is only one day, please contact Greg Schneider or Chick Boots.
